BABY WIPES / WET WIPES
Recipe for a wet wipe solution (For about 1 litre of solution - quantities are very approximate, I just throw it all in!)
1 part Aloe Vera liquid to 6 parts cooled boiled water
3 tablespoons of calendula oil
Few drops tea tree oil
Few drops lavendar oil
Couple of tea spoons of baby shampoo / gentle, mild shampoo
Put the ingredients together and shake them up - needs shaking before every use.
Use pure and organic ingredients where possible. I use washing up liquid bottles (well rinsed) to keep it in and decant small amounts into a smaller container for the change bag.
To use with the lotion, I made my own wipes from 2 old towels cut into wet-wipe size squares which are much more effective at cleaning up than wet wipes and better for the environment. I just rinse them out (I don't even do this for wees) and leave them in the nappy bucket with the dirty reusable nappies whilst waiting for the wash. Enjoy!

BATH SALTS
No real recipe to speak of, but take a jar or ziplock bag and fill it with at least 100g of epsom salts / dead sea salts (I sometimes add a bit of cornflour for water softening). Add up to 20 drops of your favourite essential oils (ginger, benzoin and sweet orange is nice, as is vetivert, ylang ylang and frankincense). Shake the jar or bag until well mixed and throw a handful into a warm bath. You should get about 3 baths out of 100g.
It also works as a dry body scrub. A friend found that commercial body scrubs were very slippery and made her shower cubicle treacherous, so she used these instead. Sprinkle a small amount onto a damp hand and massage in.

BODY BUTTER BARS
These bars leave your skin feeling soft, smoothed and sensuous. The rose and cocoa are delicious and decadent additions! This recipe can be halved, quartered, etc., to make less product. Yield: Approx. 42 4-ounce bars Shelf Life: Indefinite Ingredients: 1 cup shea butter 1 cup sweet almond oil 1 cup cocoa butter 1/2 cup jojoba oil (substitute with Meadowfoam) 1/2 cup virgin coconut oil 2 cups beeswax 1/4 teaspoon rose absolute 1/4 teaspoon cocoa absolute Blending Procedure: 1. Measure the the butters, sweet almond oil and beeswax into a Pyrex measuring cup and place the cup into a bath of boiling water. When the wax is nearly completely melted, remove the cup from the water and stir the ingredients to thoroughly combine. 2. Allow the mixture to cool for about 1 minute before adding the jojoba oil and virgin coconut oil and stirring to ensure the mix. 3. Add the rose and cocoa absolute and stir to combine. Pour into molds of your choice. I usually use 1/4 ounce molds shaped like ovals so they fit nicely into the hands but you can use any mold you like. You can also use deodorant or other "stick" containers. (Number of bars depends on size of mold(s) used.) Allow the bars to cool completely before using. Space permitting, pop them into the freezer immediately after pouring -- this seems to enhance the texture of the finished bars. To use, warm a bar between your palms to transfer some of the oils and butter to your palms. Massage dry skin with your oil infused palms to soothe and moisturize. Love your body!

Breezy Body Lotion (uses about 70% water base - makes about 120 ml):
5g olivem 1 tbsp aloe vera water 4 tbsp plain boiled water 5g cocoa butter 10g (or apprx 2 tsp) coconut oil 1 tbsp organic soya oil 10 ml wheatgerm oil 7 drops each of the following essential oils: lavender, petitgrain, bergamot, clary sage, benzoin Warm up aloe vera water and boiled water so it's nicely mixed up and fairly warm - it will be your water part Melt olivem and cocoa butter in a double boiler (I usually use a glass bowl which sits on top of the pan with simmering water) Once olivem and cocoa butter are melted add coconut oil mix everything well add soya oil and wheat germ oil constantly whisking gently after about 5 seconds add water part bit by bit constantly whisking gently once all water part is in the bowl with oils take it off the heat and keep constantly whisking gently until the mixture has a lovely creamy texture. Once it's cool enough start adding your essential oils. This is a very light lotion and ideal for summer months. For winter you can reduce the water part by about 10 ml and add more cocoa butter and instead of petitgrain add a little more benzoin, lavender - or any aromatic oils of your choice to lift up your spirits!

ROSE & ALMOND BODY / HAND / FOOT CREAM
This recipe is my favourite and yesterday I made a different version with Lavender and geranium, I seem to have a production line going for this because everyone I have given it too wants more. I love your floral waters but apart from spraying them on me and all over the house I was not sure what to do with them but this is a really lovely way of using them. Rose oil is quite expensive and by using Rose water it stretches it a bit.
8g/ 1.5 tsp cocoa butter 5g/ 1 tsp beeswax 30ml/ 2 tbs almond oil 45ml/ 3 tbs rosewater 10g/ 3tsp emulsifying wax* 10 drops of rose oil *lecithin may be used instead of emulsifying wax, please see the face cream recipe below for substitution details.
Melt the cocoa butter, beeswax and almond oil in a bowl over a saucepan of hot water.
Warm the rosewater and emulsifying wax in a mug in the microwave for 30 seconds and stir to melt.
Stir the rosewater mix into the oily mixture until cool. I used my electric hand mixer for this as it took a while and looked as if it was going to seperate or curdle. Just whisk until it is like whipped double cream, it firms up in the jar.
When the cream is cool add the rose oil and stir.
The rose is wonderful, I also did another one substituting the rose water with lavender water and used geranium oil instead of the rose oil, because I love these 2. I am going to try and think of another good combination.
On my 2nd session on this cream I made double the amount and the 3rd time I made 4 times the amount and next time I will make more. This cream is very cheap and you can use loads without feeling too extravagant although it is so good it is a real treat and it smells fantastic.

I love the recipes and I had to submit my own!
HAND / FOOT / BODY LOTION
30ml of sunflower oil (I use your organic one!) 70ml of filtered water 1 teaspoon (approx 5ml) of emulsifying wax* 2-3 drops of Vitamin E oil 20 drops of vetiver essential oil 20 drops of benzoin essential oil 10 drops of peppermint essential oil *lecithin msy be used instead of emulsifying wax, please see the face cream recipe below for substitution details.
Heat the sunflower oil, filtered water and emulsifying wax in a suitable container (I put them in a plastic tub and heat in 10 second bursts in the microwave, keeping a close eye on it). Once the emulsifying wax has melted, stir the mixture to prevent it separating (this is actually quite therapeutic!). As it cools, the mixture will thicken. Stir in the essential oils to the cooled mixture. I think it smells just like peppermint rock!

BODY OIL FOR VERY DRY, ITCHY AND SENSITIVE SKIN
I used black seed, cranberry seed and passion flower, 40 ml of each and 60 ml sunflower oil. I also used 10 drops of palmarosa, 6 drops rose 5% diluted in jojoba and 6 drops of linden blossom 5% dilluted in jojoba. This is a wonderful blend. The itch has disappeared, the skin is soft and I feel fine.

SPICY BODY OIL
This is a mixture of oil and water and contains only goodies that your skin will drink in. It's rich and delicious ! Makes: 8 ounces / 227G Shelf Life: 3 months Ingredients: 2 ounces / 56.9g Sweet Almond Oil 1 ounce / 28.35g Jojoba Oil 1 ounce 28.35g Liquid Shea Butter 1 ounce meadowfoam / 28.35g seed oil 1 teaspoon Vitamin E 3 ounces / 85g distilled water 20 drops Ginger EO 30 drops Lemon EO 10 drops Lime EO 10 drops Bergamot EO 20 drops Sweet Orange EO Blending Procedure: 1. Combine the essential oils in a small glass vial and allow them to mellow for a few weeks. (This step is optional but will enhance the aroma of the finished product.) 2. Place all ingredients in an 8 ounce flip top plastic bottle or a glass bottle. You can use either but since plastic slowly absorbs essential oils glass is a better choice. On the other hand, it''s easier to dispense the product using a flip top plastic bottle that you can squeeze. Label and store in a dark place in the bathroom, away from direct sunlight. To use, simply shake well to emulsify the ingredients, then apply to your skin. Feel how smooth and silky it is! You may need to rest a bit before putting on your clothes so you don't stain them with the oils, but the feel of your skin after using this product makes it worth the wait. CLEANSER FOR NORMAL TO OILY SKIN
250 ml sweet almond oil
50 drops of lavender essential oil
10 drops of neroli or orange essential oil
This oil cleanser is silky, antiseptic and moisturising, with a wonderful fresh aroma - it is great wiped off with a warm, damp muslin. Close pores with a muslin wrung out in cold water.

COLD CREAM
Here is a typical cold cream recipe:-
80ml Sweet Almond Oil 10gms Beeswax beads 33ml Rose floral water 4-8 drops of your chosen essential oil (ie. Rose Oil or similar to suit your skin type).
1. Place the beeswax and Almond oil in a pyrex bowl and place in a pan of water. Gently heat and stir until the wax is melted. 2. Warm the Rose floral water in a similar way and then gradually add to the wax/oil mixture, whisking all the time. 3. When all the Rose floral water is beaten in, stir in the essential oil. 4. Transfer the mixture to a jar and leave in the refrigerator to set.

FACE CREAM
This amount makes a jar full and costs very little.....

Take the oil mixture off the heat and slowly stir in the spring water mixture and keep stirring until cool and thickened. It gets thicker in the jar.
When the cream is cool add some essential oils, something like, rose, lavender, geranium, frankinsense, sandalwood, anything you like. A couple of drops of peppermint oil is nice because when you use it, it feels fresh.

FACE TONER
I quarter fill a glass bottle with witch hazel then fill the rest with either orange or rose water. I add one large drop of vegetable glycerine and finish with a few drops of lavender oil. Shake the bottle and you have a gentle, natural face toner!

Foot cream It might be that the ingredients look familiar but note that there is no emulsifiers used due to the way I make the cream. And the secret is - oils, waxes and water parts reach the same temperature. 20 ml water (I usually use boiled water whihc was boiled only once - the water should be between warm and hot); 5 g beeswax 5 g cocoa butter 10 g coconut oil 10 ml grapeseed oil 5 drops of each essential oils: lemon, peppermint, lavender, benzoin. If you wish you can use any of the richer oils such as olive or avocado in place of coconut oil. Instructions (it has to be done fairly quickly): Melt beeswax, add cocoa butter and melt it in the beeswax - stir to this mixture add coconut oil - stir all the ingredients well (literally for 5 - 7 seconds) then slowly add grapeseed oil - stir (again for about 5 seconds) then start adding water bit by bit constantly whisking gently (this will prevent your avocado or olive oils not to be overheated and all the nutrients will remain in tact) Once all the water is in, give it another 5 seconds of gentle whisking so that all the parts reach the same temperature) and then take if off the heat. Keep gently whisking the mixture until it starts turning into cream and once its cool enough add your essential oils. I noticed that if the cream is not affected by dramatic changes in temperature afterwards it will always stay in tact without separating. I don't keep my creams in the fridge - this one lasted 5 weeks (probably because I used benzoin and it was kept it in a dark place in a cool bedroom). After shower massage your feet with this aromatic nourishing cream, put socks on (oh, and your feet up)!

HAND CREAM/BODY BUTTER
1tbsp Sweet Almond oil 1.5 tbsp coconut oil 2 tsp beeswax 1.5 tbsp veg glycerine 800iu Vitamin E 3 drops Bergamot Essential oil
Melt the beeswax and oils gently. When melted, remove from the heat and add the Vitamin E to the mixture. Whisk in glycerine a little at a time. Continue whisking until preparation is well mixed and almost set, then stir in the essential oils. Pour into a jar.

NATURAL LIP GLOSS BALM
This recipe fills a 25ml jar
Ingredients 1 tsp carrier oil 3 tsp shea nut butter 1 tsp beeswax pellets 1 tsp coconut oil as a natural flavouring 10 drops of your chosen essential oil/s
Heat the beeswax pellets in a pan and when melted, turn onto a gentler heat and add the shea butter, oils and flavourings. When everything has melted and combined together, pour into your jar and put it in the fridge for 10 - 15 minutes to set. This makes a really nice light balm with a glossy finish.

MASSAGE OIL USEFUL FOR CALMING & TO DE-STRESS.....
I have found this massage oil very good on the odd stressful occassion and my sister swears by it for her son that is very hyperactive.

To ease 'pain of the lower back caused by nerve pinch' (we've had to edit this as we can't state a medical condition)
Add 50 drops lavender essential oil to 100 mls unrefined wheatgerm oil.
Apply to affected area, being careful not to rub, 3 times a day until the pain is gone.

You will need:
- 10ml Blue Rollette/Roll on Bottle.
- 8ml of Apricot Kernal Oil
- 6 Drops of the Essential Oil of your choice (I love using frankincense and orange, It really smells great.
Just mix all the lovely ingredients together and pop into the rollette. Then you can keep it in your hand bag to keep your nails and cuticles beautiful at all times.
You can also use it as a pulse point oil!!

I want to share my perfume recipe.
"Euphoric perfume"
20 drops patchouli essential oil
16 drops myrrh essential oil
16 drops Rose oil blend
12 drops Ylang Ylang essential oil
12 ml high proof vodka or jojoba oil
Put the alcohol or jojoba in a roll on bottle. Add the oil, one at a time, first your base note patchouli then myrrh, follow with the middle note of Ylang Ylang and the last is the top note of Rose oil. Shake it for 40-80 times. Leave your perfume in dark place for at least 14 days. Enjoy, this is a good in formal or night out perfume.

Rescue Balm This recipe would help those with the snuffles (especially stronger sinus type symptons). The balm is very easy to make but watch out the percentage of the essential oils used here: 5% - it's quite a lot and and it acts as an ointment (yields 30 g). 22,5 ml almond oil 6 g beeswax 30 drops of the following essential oils (5 of each): eucalyptus blue gum, thyme, lemon, peppermint, ginger, peppermint. You can also add couple of drops ob benzoin. How to make: melt beeswax and almond oil, stir, let it cool slightly, add essential oils, whisk it well and put it in a container, let it stand for several hours before use. How to use: if you feel that you are coming up with the snuffles then use this as often as possible - massage it into your throat and chest (because this balm uses very strong essential oils please test it first). Keep yourself warm. You can also massage it into your feet after quick shower, then put some warm socks and assume a relaxing position. For those who have stronger, sinus type symptons please massage a small amount along the cheekbones, temples and above the brows (several times a day). Keep yourself warm. You can also use this balm for children but replace strong oils with the following: myrtle, lavender, benzoin, tea tree, chamomile, rose (marjoram might be also good).

ROOM FRAGRANCE SPRAY
- 50ml Spray bottle
- Vodka
- 10 drops of Essential Oil of your choice. Lavender works great in bedrooms, very relaxing!!
Just fill the spray bottle with 50ml vodka then add your Essential Oil, give it a good shake and spray away any nasty smells!! Much cheaper and nicer than commercial aerosol sprays.

SALT BODY SCRUB
You can buy this but it is expensive and I haven't seen any that smells.
No real amounts, in a 200ml jar
fill 3/4 full with dead sea salt
about 2 tablespoons of sweet almond oil (or similar)
then about 10 drops of any essential oil, I think the best ones for this are orange, grapefruit, lemon those fruity ones.

SHAVING OIL
This is a simple recipe lifted from some of the listed ingredients on a proprietary shaving oil.
Almond oil 100ml
Eucalyptus essential oil 5 drops.
Lavender esential oil 8 drops.
Peppermint essential oil 5 drops.
Tea Tree essential oil 2 drops
20 drops of essential oil is the maximum per 100mls carrier oil. This works for me, but try experimenting with different carrier oils, Jojoba, Sunflower, add a dash of vitamin E oil.

TALC SUBSTITUTE Simple, soft, silky and safe! Kaolin Clay Corn Flour Bicarbonate of Soda Lavender Essential Oil Lavender Flower heads (optional) You will need a tub/pot with a shaker/sprinkle type top, and the quantities will depend on the size of your pot. Fill half of your chosen pot with corn flour and top up with bicarbonate and a little kaolin. Add your lavender flower heads and gradually add several drops of the oil, mixing carefully. Use as you would talc. Rose is a nice alternative to lavender.
